Habitat
Habitat
Location Takapuna, Tāmaki Makaurau

Completed 2003

Taking an innovative approach to difficult conditions, old houses and rubbish were removed from this disused site and replaced by high density polystyrene fill. The resource consent process was necessarily a highly involved and complicated process.

The resulting project represents a clever balance between maximising land use and the desire to create high quality living environments for the owners and occupiers of these nineteen two and three bedroom terrace houses.

Overlooking parkland and the Barry’s Point Road estuary, each apartment has a private ground floor courtyard for outdoor living. With limited street parking in this popular and vibrant location, double garaging and plenty of visitor parking adds to the appeal.

The name Habitat was chosen to reflect the great living environment within which the apartment complex is constructed. These central Takapuna apartments were a very successful development with all sold off the plans before construction commenced.
