This master plan development borders Basque Park in the inner city suburb of Eden Terrace. Originally designed as a single large complex, the GFC put that plan on hold, enabling this alternative configuration with smaller development sites to come to fruition.
After investigating many options to suit this steep site with views to the city, an existing building was re-purposed and a new apartment complex built, wrapping around to the southern side. The sloping north side was developed into five separate titles which had separate and very specific Auckland Council design guidelines overlaid on the general design. The separate titles enabled individuals to purchase the sites and undertake their own projects, following specific requirements. |
The BASQUE PARK development forms part of this master plan, and the URBAN PARK project fronting Rendall Place has also been completed. This project has assisted with template development for a large multi-tenanted site in Ponsonby. |
